BASIC PUMP OPERATIONS
While many
functions are important on the fire ground most of these will
not be successful without a well trained pump operator. The pump
operator is the key in most aspects of fire ground operations
from getting initial hand lines in place to supplying enough
water to the first in companies. Without a good pump operator
danger to citizens and firefighters increase along with an
increase in property damage. Grasping the concept of Basic Pump
Operations is the foundation for all pump operators.
This two day: 16 hour course is designed to
provide the new pump operator with the basic knowledge and
skills to operate a pump in different functions. This course
will also provide the current pump operator with a review of the
basic pump concepts.
